Research and planning: photographs for the magazine

Here is a selection of photographs which I took for my magazine, I've taken far too many to put them all on here but I have tried to show variations of different shot types, effects and also included some which didn't turn out well so you can see how I've experimented with different things.

This is a long shot of Aimee one of my models - this photo is not suitable for my magazine because 1) there is to much in the background 2) the general quality of the photo isn't good 3) the lighting is too dark 4)she is pulling a silly face.

This a photo of Maisie one of the models for my magazine - If I cut her out to remove the background I could use this photo somewhere on my magazine. Although it is not suitable for my front cover as I want her looking at the camera and I would like a medium shot for the cover.
This is a photograph of both of my models - this photo is not suitable for my magazine because the image is to blurred.

This is a long shot image - if I remove the background I would possibly like to use this image on my contents page

I think this is a good photo I like how she is directly addressing the audience by pointing at them although I get more of a pop vibe from the image rather than indie so I wont be using this image

This photo was taken by mistake, the lighting is very dark, you cant really see any facial features, if I was to use this image people might mistake the genre of my magazine.
I like this photo of Maisie I think it has a mysterious feel to it although again I don't think it fits with the genre of my magazine

This is a good photo, she is looking into the camera, I like the use of the prop and how it hides part of her face which again gives a mysterious feel, I think I could use this photo on my double page spread however I will need to cut out the image and recreate a plain background.

I don't think my model was 100% ready when I took this photo, but she is in a good position/pose and the background and lighting are suitable but the image is slightly blurred.

This is another good photo with nice use of props she has a very serious pose I could possibly use this photo on my double page spread if I remove the background.

I think this photo shows a normal, down to earth side of the artist she looks like she is writing & creating music which could be good for the double page spread it fits with the 'where it all started' title the only problem is the background again.

Again I like this photo its much like the one above showing the 'where it all started' side to the artist, this is another image which could be used on the double page spread.
